Skydivers

From Baltimore, MD, Skydivers perform atmospheric post-punk music, giving a nod to the new wavers of the 80s and the shoegazers of the 90s. Armando Cuéllar (guitars, keyboards, singing), Leah Bush (guitars, keyboards, other singing), Don Ertel (bass), and Tony Smouse (drums) team up to shower eager ears with swirly musical goodness.

Skydivers' first release, "Hello. Atmosphere," evokes the anthemic spirit of U2 and
Simple Minds, the sonic attack of the Cure and the Church, the dreampop bliss of the Chameleons UK, and the darkwave aesthetic of Clan of Xymox.

Skydivers have shared stages with Big Country, Chameleons Vox, Ghostland
Observatory, and Patrick Krief (formerly of the Dears), performed at festivals in the
Mid-Atlantic region, including Artscape (Baltimore), BiMA.Fest (Baltimore), Artomatic (various sites throughout the DMV), French Embassy Fête de la Musique (DC), Main Street Music Fest (Howard County), Catch the Breeze (NYC), Our Military Kids Benefit (DC), Pop Noise Festival (Philadelphia), Walls of Sound Fest (Fredericksburg, VA), and featured on the longstanding WMUC-FM College Park, MD, radio show "Third Rail.”
